The Vocal Artist Studio Spring Recital will take place on Sunday June 7th, at 3:00PM at All Soul's Church, 399 Main Street Greenfield.  Students will by accompanied by pianist Michele Feldheim.  All are welcome.  Free. Donations gratefully accepted.

BEGINNING VOICE CLASS
Class Description
These classes are designed to give new singers the basic skills necessary to create beautiful tone production, understandability(diction), meaningful expression of the text, and beginning music literacy(sight-reading.)  All aspects of instruction will be delivered using a relaxed, holistic, heart centered approach.  Mindfulness and simple movement techniques will be used to find ease in the body alignment and breathing.  Non-judgemental atmosphere.




The Tuesday and Thursday classes are identical - sign up for the location most convenient to you.  Maximum class size is 6 in Greenfield and 15 in Amherst.   No previous singing experience is necessary.  Everyone can learn to sing and anyone who sings can learn to sing better!  

Wear loose comfortable clothing.   

 
 

The Holyoke Community College annual Classical Faculty Concert is Sunday March 2, at 3:00PM in the Forum, Building C, 303 Homestead Avenue(Rt. 202,) Holyoke, MA.

eileen will be singing two original compositions written and accompanied by the Dr. Elissa Brill Pashkin, our music faculty department head.  Free!.  Hope you can make it!

the site arrives the night after the full moon lunar eclipse in Virgo.  may this be a blessed coincidence and may everyone who visits here feel the moon's silvery light glowing around them,  and be filled with peace.

 

    about eileen ruby

    eileen ruby, mezzo-soprano, performs frequently in recital and oratorio throughout New England and teaches voice at Mt. Holyoke College and Holyoke Community College and privately in Greenfield and Amherst, MA.  Ms. Ruby has performed as a soloist with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, The Pioneer Valley Symphony, The Holyoke Civic Symphony, Keene Chorale, Arcadia Players Baroque Orchestra, and Commonwealth Opera, and with all of the Pioneer Valley's Five Colleges.

    eileen began her music training at age five.  Her mother was her first  piano teacher and she was performing solos in school chorus by sixth grade.  She holds a Master of Music in Classical Voice Performance and a Bachelor of Music in Voice Performance and Music Education, magna cum laude, form the University of Massachusetts     where she studied with soprano, Paulina Stark. 

    She is certified in Somatic Voicework the Lovetri  Method ™ Level Three, is a certified practitioner of Integrative Acupressure and is a Reiki Master.   Her teaching is informed by eighteen years of cross cultural spiritual studies, Qi Gong, Yoga, Alexander Technique, and Body Mapping™.  She teaches and performs classical and contemporary styles throughout the Pioneer Valley and has been teaching voice since 1989.
