BEGINNING VOICE CLASS
Class Description
These classes are designed to give new singers the basic skills necessary to create beautiful tone production, understandability(diction), meaningful expression of the text, and beginning music literacy(sight-reading.) All aspects of instruction will be delivered using a relaxed, holistic, heart centered approach. Mindfulness and simple movement techniques will be used to find ease in the body alignment and breathing. Non-judgemental atmosphere.
The Tuesday and Thursday classes are identical - sign up for the location most convenient to you. Maximum class size is 6 in Greenfield and 15 in Amherst. No previous singing experience is necessary. Everyone can learn to sing and anyone who sings can learn to sing better!
Wear loose comfortable clothing.

about eileen rubyeileen ruby, mezzo-soprano, performs frequently in recital and oratorio throughout New England and teaches voice at Mt. Holyoke College and Holyoke Community College and privately in Greenfield. Ms. Ruby has performed as a soloist with the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, The Mystic River Chorale in COnnecticut, The Pioneer Valley Symphony, The Holyoke Civic Symphony, Keene Chorale in New Hampshire, Arcadia Players Baroque Orchestra, and Commonwealth Opera, and with all of the Pioneer Valley's Five Colleges.
